    2011

Eurovision is a somehow very ironic event. On one hand – you have to perform just one song, and we’ve been on stage for more than 15 years, thus there shouldn’t be anything difficult or time-consuming here. On the other hand – it’s a contest with more than 40 contestants; you are representing your country, which is a great responsibility; Eurovision is more than just music… you have to let people know about yourself before the contest, you have to prepare a memorable show, you have to impress, to motivate people to vote for you! And these certainly require a lot of work and time, human and financial resources… and luck!

One month since we’ve won the National Final has passed and there is one and a half month until the contest in Dusseldorf... and almost all we do is prepare for Eurovision. We’d like to share with you some information regarding this activity.

Several members of the band will travel to Yerevan (the 4th of April), Tbilisi (the 5th), Baku (the 6th), and Istanbul (the 7th) in order to participate in various TV and radio shows, to meet with journalist and present Moldova, our band and talk about the Eurovision song - “So lucky”. On the 9th of April we will take part in the Eurovision concert that will be held in Bucharest. Towards the end of April we plan (but we don’t have the exact dates yet) to visit Vilnius, Tallinn, Riga, Warsaw, Bratislava, Vienna, Moscow, Kiev, and Minsk. We hope we will be able to make it everywhere…

During this period we are actively collaborating with our long time friend and professional painter Serghey Bucur. Together we are developing the concept of our show (apparel, installations, video projections etc.) for the Dusseldorf stage. He was the one to create the cover art for the “Tabara Noastra” and “Ethnomecanica” albums, which was the inspiration for the tall caps that we wore during the National Final. We are the flying fiddlers!

This week we’ll have a new photo shooting with a photographer from Kiev. We are really excited about this! And last, but not less important – a new video for “So lucky” is to come!

I suppose you're going to be on stage in Dusseldorf with those tall caps again.
They make you interesting, yes, but the singer looses his energy, he just can't
move with it on his head and we even cannot see his (pretty) face... What I
would like to see on Eurovision stage is the version from your official video
clip, where he is without his shirt (sooo sexy) en so energetic, just like in
2005... looks younger too... Maybe it would be nice compromise to begin with the
caps and then take it off in the middle of the song? Think about it, please, I
think that you are too static with it... greetings and all the best in
    Germany...

Shelan
